Backstory, I quit a furniture warehouse position a few days ago, only worked there for about 2 weeks (cause it was shit lool) and there were an unbelievable amount of labor board and OSHA violations while I was there. I was supposed to be paid on the first. Fast forward to today, I had been promised my paycheck twice and it hadn't come through. So I was rightfully upset. I go into the building and ask for my boss. He comes out and I ask him where my paycheck is. He says “I've been busy.” That's not how that works but okay. I tell him I need my paycheck today so I can cover rent. He gets in my face and shouts “WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO TALK TO ME LIKE THAT?!” At this point I lost my shit. I told him that I don't care about how I talk to him because I don't work for him anymore. He says that I came in today and spit in his face and that I need to show respect for him as a person. Fucking what???? You prevented me from getting my money, in my eyes you deserve literally nothing. I told him I would report the OSHA violations, and his last words to me were, “Go. See what happens.” Which very much reads like a threat. And with that, he threw me out of the warehouse. There's a very high chance he also treated me like this because he knows I am transgender. (I mean, I live in Texas. I have to assume the worst at this point.) I already filed a complaint with his boss and the payroll manager, is there anything else I should do?
