The company I work for has these rewards. I don't mind the systems you can use to get awarded with them (employees can gift smaller values directly, nominate for larger awards). The things you can redeem them for are decent, but they “expire”. Which to me seems like straight theft since they show up as additional “taxable income” on my paystub. I'd be livid if I were applying for something income restricted and these fake dollars bumped me out of eligibility. Thoughts?
