Called out for being a job hopper.

This is mainly a rant. Since around 2016 I was working in a specific industry which isn’t very high paying to begin with. I was a tech support specialist with occasional travel to shows. Since around 2016 I was working in a specific industry which isn’t very high paying to begin with. I was a tech support specialist with occasional travel to shows. I did enjoy it for a while but grew tired as I wasn’t progressing/ making the money I think I should of been at that age. O would work at a company for about a year or so and switch companies. Each time i did gain a few dollars per hour but still wasn’t working at a company longer than 2 years.

Around 2020 I got to do a career change into New home Building. I was finally outside everyday, talking with new homeowners, my schedule was amazing. And I made more money! I was one of the newer hires and after a year and 2 months, I was unfortunately laid off due to speculation Of home building. All my coworkers kept their gigs. My two main bosses were adamant that it was not work performance at all. And still regularly contact me to see how I am doing.

So I was unemployed from January and applied to numerous amount of new home builders because that’s the industry I wanted to stay in. No luck. I ended up getting a call from a company from the old industry I did and was hired basically on the spot.

I hate it. I’m back in an office for 8 hours a day and a 45 minute commute each way. I desperately want to get out but I have no motivation because I don’t want to just keep switching jobs. Because this employer actually was the first ever to call me out on why I keep moving jobs. I basically replied “to better myself and to make more money” which is the truth.
So I am just stuck here until something else pops up but isn’t bad how many times I keep switching jobs?
