Called out sick, asked to come in anyway…

I called out for today’s shift before I even left yesterday. Out of nowhere I got a really bad sore throat, a fever, chills, and couldn’t swallow. No coverage to take me off rotation so I got through the day, went to urgent care, got a positive strep swab, and left with antibiotics. I’m also pregnant so my immune system is crap right now- I’m on my 4th round of antibiotic treatment in 2 months. I don’t like this kid getting exposed to so many drugs and I’m not about to pile stress on top of it. Sorry not sorry. What are they gonna do? Fire the pregnant girl for being sick? Don’t threaten me with unemployment payments for the rest of my pregnancy and maternity leave
