i called off of work today, for a few reasons. i’ve been very overworked and tired, along with having a second job that i travel about 3 hours for on the weekends. i have a really good team and my manger is nice too, but he asked me why i’m calling off. isn’t it california working law 101 you aren’t allowed to ask?
on top of that, the guilt is a lot. i know i could be replaced in a second if i died, and that mental health days are a thing.. but the feeling of letting people down weighs on me a lot.
