Any advice is appreciated, I got my car broken into at night and noticed the next morning going into work, my manager let me take the day to file the police report and set up security in my apartment as I had just relocated for the company to open a new store.
Next day I go into work to try to make the day up, we get salary and have unplanned PTO for occasions such as a robbery but we just opened and I felt I was needed at work, I then tell my manager that I was told I would be leading the new team instead of training with then given my seniority over the new hires and that both managers didn't seem to want that to be how things went so I told him I wanted to apologize if I came off as pushy or too involved because there simply was a miscommunication and going forward it won't be that way.
My manager then got heated regardless of me trying to explain I wasn't complaining or asking for things to change, the conversation led to him asking me to leave, later same day I get a call and he merges the call with his boss, after the call is merged nobody can hear me, they said “we felt like you leaving was a sign of your resignation” I responded with I never intended for that to be the case and before i could continue my manager said “we'll take that as your resignation” I tried to respond again and they said let's end the call there and click.
This was on my scheduled day off.
Immediately after the call I couldn't login to my workday account.
What can i do, am I finished with no chance?
