In recent events, I moved out of the northwest to the southeast of the US; Away from my toxic family in hopes of getting a better future. Fast forward to after the final plane lands and now I'm in the south.
One of my closest friend's mother offered us a place to stay as long as we put in applications and interviews for jobs. We have been doing that, at least between 1-4 applications a day. It hasn't even been two weeks since we've arrived and she's already coming at me; “If you waste this opportunity I gave you two, I'll put a time limit over your heads.”
She even referred us to her own job (warehouse entry level) and we still haven't received a call or notice for an interview. I'm trying to look for free ways to make a resume for companies to look at, but I might have to pay a fee just to get the file. I'm really looking around for any job and just haven't been called back or emailed for them. Hell we just applied for food stamps and the mom is expecting us to already have them. It hasn't even been a week yet.
I'm at my wits end and really need some advice, I want to work but no one has hired us yet.
