Caregiving Job Sucks

First job at a retirement home here, and the boss is the most terrible boss I've had, I can tell 1 week in. She lied about shift availability to trick me to do night shift with no differential. She had originally offered me a shift that come to find out later is not a shift they've ever had someone work. I'm making a wage 2 dollars below the minimum I'd take for night shift. The night shift people do more work too, and are expected to come to a monthly meeting at 1 PM when the shift starts at 7 PM and ends at 7 AM. I am switching from my training schedule to my normal schedule so I have 7 days off.

Despite never having gotten it prior, and having been exposed to it at HER facility (she is the owner), I have tested positive. She didn't believe the results when I sent it on Friday in response to her text that I was exposed to 6 sick people (later 10). So she made me come in and receive a retest from her. She wouldn't show me the results, just said congrats negative and tried to be discreet as she intentionally moved it away from my eyesight while I was actively trying to look.

I refused each time she asked me to come in for OT. In general you have to pay me on call pay to expect me to be available for OT on night shift, as I switch to days on my weekend. Unless I absolutely want extra shifts and am not sick I am not doing OT on nights without being on call with on call pay. I took a test again today and sent her the picture. She gave me attitude and was clear I am only permitted to be sick until the day I work (5 days from now). What do I do? I am unable to quit.

It's also worth noting I've been told day shift people sometimes leave residents to sit in their feces for 12 hours with no consequence. We also don't have enough diapers despite the fact my trainer had messaged the boss for weeks, she still didn't buy them. The state said we need to be feeding the residents snacks because they aren't heavy enough. We often don't have any snack food. Also the fact that the dayshift didn't feel like feeding snacks (just like with laundry, changing briefs, giving showers, doing dishes, they don't wanna) so night shift has to wake the residents up at 1 AM to feed them…WTF??? Can't the people get a full nights sleep?
