I hate the whole concept of company gifts outside of bonuses and profit sharing. I hate the stupid games they play in this system meant to hold us down. I work for a fortune 250 company in the US. Getting piss poor raises every year that get exponentially more laughable when I check the inflation rate on the consumer price index. They closed down a branch for unionizing. Turnover rate at our location is stupid. Had meetings where the plant manager said “nobody is safe” when addressing firing a supervisor. But oh… here’s a free jacket with the company name on it. Fuck that. Talked to some coworkers and they just didn’t get my frustration. “If you don’t want the jacket, give it to me.” That’s not the point, man. What should I do?
Category: Antiwork
Hi everyone! I'm still in my early career and I was quite naive about work so I signed up to work for free in exchange for some experiences. Lately, I have been given more tasks to do than what was agreed upon in our contract, and as a result, I have been spending more time working for them than I initially anticipated. While I was eager to work and learn from the company at the beginning of the internship, I have recently come to the realization that I am not receiving the mentorship that I was hoping for. Instead, I feel like I am being taken advantage of and used for my labor without compensation. I hope to kindly hear your thoughts and advice on the situation about what I should do? I'm hoping to keep the job for a month but stick to our agreement about my work hours…

I just hate bosses and coworkers so much fml
I wish them to be very sick to see how they can work being very sick, I wanna call some sorcerer to do a spell over them, anyways karma exists.
I keep hearing about how office jobs are a lot more relaxed and less work than retail (my current field).
How do I support my team?
I manage a team of 4, and their jobs can be done completely remotely. They’ve been doing 3 days in the office and 2 from home for months, with no issues. Upper management is now pushing me to get them all in the office at least 4 days a week. How do I support my team, and make management see that WFH is good for the company? Not in the US, if that makes a difference.
So small story to all this. I work in a hospital in the ER. I have been here for a few months and the job itself is pretty good. I like it for something I have never done before, my work is non clinical so I got trained on the job. Recently they put me on third shift, 12 hour shifts with very little to do but sit at a desk and wait for people. It's ok, get to work on my hobbies, and I got a pay raise. Have no complaints where I am now and I planned to stay with this job for a long time… Until they took me off third and I saw the new schedule Normally, and this is for EVERYONE, in my department you work 2 on 2 off with rotation of half days on Wednesday and the occasional 3 day run block out…
