The other day I posted here venting about my Mendy's job. One thing I said is that having good managers doesn't make the job itself suck any less. Well, I actually don't even have good managers apparently. Actually, I'm starting to resent them. One in particular has been having way too much attitude lately and I really can't deal with a bitchy manager on top of being burnt out from working at a very high volume fast food place. Today, I got a text from a manager saying that I'm supposed to come in today. Apparently, when I got Monday off, I was supposed to.. make up for that by working today. NO ONE TOLD ME THAT. Absolutely no one told me that at ALL. I looked at the schedule yesterday, and it said I am off Wednesday, so I didn't come in. It has been a REALLY long time…

Jesus? Is that you?
I have a full time job, and am currently a student. There's no way I can be in 3 places at once. I cannot have full 365 days a year availability. I'd love to go back to retail or hotels just on the weekends for extra money, but all of these places need people who are available every day of the week. I am sure some of these workers would love to be off on the weekends and have a dedicated weekend person come in, but I can't get hired to do that. I wouldn't even mind working the front desk at a motel 6, since I miss hospitality, but all these managers are saying I need to be available ALL days of the week. Welp, too bad.
I technically work on “commission” because my boss doesn't want to pay the benefits of a salaried employee even though I've come in every day for the past 3 years. I usually get a check at the end of every month. When I came into the office this morning, I saw my commission check on my desk already signed. I deposited during my lunch break. Later in the afternoon, my boss came into the office (she just came back from a 2 month vacation, so this was my first time seeing her since then) and told me not to deposit the check yet because she doesn't have enough money in her bank account. She got so angry at me. She told me she wrote a note on the check to not deposit it, but I looked around my desk with her and we couldn't find the note. She told me…
Can he even do that legally?
So I was recently made manager of the liquor store I work at. One of the things discussed was an extra $2 an hour raise. Fast forward a couple months my dad has stage 4 cancer so I went out of state to see my dad for a week. I come home to chaos at work. He fired two people. Boss is actually working shifts which never happens. And then I'm told he can't afford the raise he said. So a) what happened with the two that got fired? b) and the two paychecks not being should pay for my raise to deal with drunk morons. TLDR: given raise by boss, who text me to say he couldn't afford it after firing two people.
It’s the workforce…
About 1.5 years ago a coworker confessed their love for me. Being in a relationship I declined & said we could no longer be friends. They then said they’d ruin my life, I called them psychotic. About a week later my significant other received a letter from an “anonymous” person claiming to have seen myself and this coworker together and kissing. I immediately messaged the coworker, confronting them, which they replied that it “obviously didn’t happen so I have nothing to worry about.” Then about 2 months later my boss pulls me in and talks to me about these allegations of a “relationship” & subsequently cheating on my spouse. These allegations came from this specific coworker & my boss tells me that “everyone” thinks it’s true. I brushed it off because who cares what people think. Incidents have occurred where this coworker refused to do their duties that pertained to…
