Lies being spread. Comes up again every couple months..need advice Long story short a couple months ago I took a shot and worked somewhere with clientele I knew I probably wouldn't like. From what i understand of the US system of government, it isnt the federal governments job to raise the minimum wage The federal minimum wage is supposed to be the lowest amount the state can offer, not the minimum wage. The federal minimum wage is for Redneck Jimmy in the middle of nowhere powing a farm, not a server in a big city The state, county and city can all legislate their on minimum wage. The federal minimun should be the living wage for the lowest denominator with the lowest cost of living. It is the job of local government to make their workers have a living wage I think this is just a rouse to divert the attention of people from the people who have the power I really want to hear your thoughts on this matter PS: i'm not american, i live in romania Edit: messed up formating

I got a job at my local Panera Bread, and it is not what I expected. I only worked for around 8 hours within the past 2 weeks, because they haven't put me on the schedule. And when they do, a manager will text you hours before you go to tell you not to come in, because its a “slow work day”. This place has so much cross contamination, on top of some rude managers and 2 face co workers. I had so much anxiety about coming into this job, I feel so relived to know I wont be there anymore.

i tried to make a post here the other day seeking help. couldn’t post and kept getting an error. today my boss was fired for mistreatment. he has been trying to fire me for 2 years.

I (23f) have worked for this very large paint company for 2 years. The location I work at has been chaotic for quite sometime. We have had 3 manger in the span of 1 year. Manger #1 (M#1) was fired, manger #2 (M#2) quit, and now we have new management (M#3). One day M#2 accused me of possession of drugs. She had claimed I smell like marijuana and threatened to have the police called on me. I never had drugs on me so I agree to having the police called as well as my manger to go through my bag and pat me down. M#2 never looked through my bag or patted me down instead she called the district manger which he wrote me up for something unrelated. I am writing this letter because on Saturday, February 11th, a horrible incident happened at work. Since this day, I have had really bad anxiety. I was requested by Popular Rental company at the airport to be permanent Rover on Saturdays from 3 to midnight. I accepted the request because I enjoyed working with customers directly. Well, at about 10:40, there was a customer that I was checking in and he was explaining to me that his car was dirty on pickup. He told me that he found three Cheerios behind his seat and some in his arm rest. I told the customer I was very sorry it didn’t meet his standards and that I would note it for him. I finished checking him in and he asked if he could get something off his bill. I told him the manager had left for the day but he could voice…

All I do is work. Six or seven days a week for weeks at a time. There is no joy, no innocence, no happiness, no free time. Only stress and work. Endlessly. Forever. I sometimes think what if I just got in a horrible car accident on the highway and that was it. Would I even care? What am I living for? To wake up and work more?

I had a conversation with a recruiter. The recruiter told me the company was doing a confidential job search and hiding the job location by saying it's in nearby suburbs because if they listed the actual location it would be pretty clear who the job is with an what the position is. They're doing this because they want to get someone hired so they can fire the current employee. Red flag?

how do I get my building to follow bathroom rules?? I work in a warehouse and our bathroom is in the back of it and not supposed to be a public bathroom. I have expressed this several times to upper management as the warehouse can get pretty packed and dangerous. Also customers tend to piss everywhere and not give a fuck about keeping our bathrooms clean. They're totally fine on truck days as those are 100% no customers allowed day since we are unloading and walking around everywhere. Only we use the restrooms. I'm the one to put a chain up every truck day to make sure 95% of people don't just walk in. I hate customers coming back into the employee work area and thinking its something they have all access to in general. I've had to tell customers that the products being sold are out on the floor…
