I started this job about a month ago. I am a full time grad student and it's my last semester so I'm pretty busy with thesis work and classes, and I also have another part-time job that I love but doesn't give me enough hours so I applied and got this job. Haven’t gotten paid
I’m an independent contractor and I haven’t gotten paid for last week. It only takes a click of a button. Today, they asked to hop on a call for a meeting but I didn’t answer the text message. The meetings are never just 30 mins, it’s always a hour and a half or more. I didn’t feel like doing small talk and I have finally realized I’ve been doing basically free labor for them with the amount they’re paying me. They always dictate when I should talk to them, meetings, to the rate they’re paying me. Should I tell them my availability or send them an email stating that they haven’t paid me?
Fake job on resume to get jobs ?
Hi, so I’ve been looking for jobs for quite a while now and done everything under the sun that’s been suggested to me or otherwise to find one I am disabled and I also pretty much have to work remotely right now It is really important to me to be ethical but I pretty much won’t be able to eat next month if I can’t get something soon, and the food banks near me are super hit or miss I was doing a bit of gig work recently until a bad flare up in my illness hit me I’m thinking of making a fake business w a website, phone number, etc to try to get a job I’m out of ideas rn, I’ve tried basically all the mock interviews, networking, resume critiques and rewrites, warm and cold applying, etc etc
