I’m so proud
This seems like a good place to put this
Ok so I’ve applied to jobs as a writer and this one job says that they want someone who ideally has SEO experience. From what I understand it’s not too difficult for a tech savvy person like myself to get the hang of and utilize and there’s the fact that the company makes you go through it in their training anyway (source told me from inside the company). Now I’ve just lied and told them I have years of experience using SEO every now and then. Can any of you tell me what to say in order to sell them the idea that I know what I’m talking about when it comes to SEO’s? Because the manager I’ll be interviewing with is picky on it apparently. Cheers
Union Busting
Firstly, I think a sense of community is desperately needed, which will die if we all strive to become rich. Secondly, I think this movement is great and much needed. Thirdly, I am a devout Catholic. I don't expect this to go well, but so you understand my biases. The recent post claiming religion is designed by the rich upset me a bit and I don't think Christianity is the enemy of this movement (although the prosperity gospel definitely is). I understand that there are many abuses in the name of Christianity. I myself am regularly disgusted with the hypocrisy seen in Christians and the Church itself. It is worth noting that the Bible treats hypocrisy as one of the gravest sins. There is a hypocrisy in being richer than the people around you. You cannot have significantly more than others and claim to love them. The first to join…
I told one of my old coworkers about a position with my new company that would likely have been a decent salary bump plus better working conditions. I guess the boss didn't like hearing that I was reaching out to the people he underpays and abuses so he leaves me a voicemail saying if I ever contact his people that he will “beat the fuck” out of me. He's a huge douche.
I’m doing a performance evaluation for my government job for the first time in awhile. I hate it. I think I do a great job and my boss always lowers excellent to satisfactory in one area, because he thinks if it says excellent throughout it doesn’t look realistic. In tbt past, he would pick the area of communication and say I need to work on my communication with team members. Maybe he is right, but idk, I think I communicate well…If someone is being rude to someone else, I call them on it. If they are being rude to me, I call them on it. So I’ve gotten a reputation for being a “troublemaker” and he likes to say that’s why I should work on communication (I think he means he wants me to shut up which I will not do). This year we get to pick what our area…
My Quitting Story
I (19f) worked at McDonald's for a year, from 2019 to 2020, quit just before covid started. My boyfriend and I both worked there and we would generally work longer than normal for almost every shift (an hour or two extra). Not only because they were so short-staffed and desparate, but also so we could carpool home after. The day I quit, both of us had been asked to come in early, and had been asked to stay an hour or so later due to a surplus of people calling out. We didn't mind the extra time so we accepted. After working for nearly 11 hours with no break and no food, I felt like absolute shit. It was around 11:30pm and I remember that they scheduled me for 7am the following morning. I was pretty upset that they had called us in knowing they wouldn't be able to provide…
