I accepted full time employment(40 hours per week) in December 2022 at this company. Last week, we were flexed off(no work) on Thursday for one day so we only got 30 hours that week. This week the same thing happened again. My one coworker said we would be eligible for unemployment. Is my coworker correct? I looked under Pennsylvania unemployment requirements, and it makes it seem like I have to be fully unemployed to receive compensation. What are yal's thoughts? Thanks for the help.

That awkward moment when…
You try to avoid having to talk to people by placing a pickup order but they’re forced to up-sale to you anyways. This is twisted. Forcing people into awkward situations, and inevitably threatening jobs if they don’t up-sale enough bullshit is exactly what I assume most people who place pickup orders want to avoid!
Disclaimer: I am speaking from a US based perspective, my thoughts here are based on our current, unique situation and the particular hole we find ourselves in. Protesting doesn't work. If it did, it would be illegal. For all their good intents, the Occupy and BLM movements accomplished little, if anything, in terms of systemic change. We are actually encouraged as people to “get out and protest” because it makes you feel like you are accomplishing something while those in power sit back and laugh. Protests are also an opportunity for violence to erupt. All it takes is one bad actor from your side, an instigator from the other side, or a random troll from somewhere else to start pushing too hard and all hell breaks loose. Then the story gets confusing and it's hard to tell who started anything, so the news cycle can twist the story however they…
OT? Really?
So I started a new job almost 2 months ago. I’m still training so they don’t want me to have OT which is understandable. I accidentally got an hour 1 week and then maybe a week later or two. I got literally 8 minutes of OT. I got talked to about watching my hours more carefully. What got me was the fact I got talked to about 8 minutes.
I left a job recently. They stated that since I didn't stay over a year, they dont pay me my vacation time. (We earned vacation leave every 2 weeks as we worked) is this correct, or am I owed this money? In Maryland if its relevant.
What to do about a racist boss?
Most and least antiwork countries ?
What would you guys consider the top 3 countries with the highest and lowest concentration of antiwork people (wether they realize it or not) ?
I've been working this position just over two months. It's a sales job, something I've never done before, and it's been a nightmare. The manager is very wheedling and encourages us to be overly manipulative and even untruthful to sell expensive furniture to people. The business is very conservative in many ways and bottom line, I hate it. The entire enterprise is also essentially predicated on exploiting poor people with rapacious finance programs. Anyways, like I said, I've been here a few months and I really haven't got the hang of it, and the managers have made it clear they've noticed. I know that I'm not valued at this company, as I've don't little to show the kind of dedication they expect. So I have a new job I start on Tuesday that hopefully I will be a better fit for. Here's the thing though, I decided for my financial…
Salary exempt concerns
I have a question regarding Exempt Salary: The company is wanting me to work 55+ hours to have overtime approved for other team members. I am exempt salary meaning no overtime is paid to me regardless of what I work after 40 hours. I am curious to see if this has any legal recourse. I see it as them utilizing and abusing the purpose of salary exempt by not wanting to pay out overtime to other team members in the store and cashing out on free labor from a salary exempt employee. Some background: Title is Store Manager Manages less than 10 people but is the highest ranking person in the establishment Manager is by themselves most of the day doing menial cashier work if short staffed and not managing other employees. I am required to work a minimum of 48 hours a week. Company monitors store manager time by…
