Why my company can’t keep anyone
Why everyone hates my company: It’s basically everything feloniousfalafel says. People don’t get paid s**t so they “can’t find anyone” and the people they do have give minimal effort (I don’t blame them at all). It’s never “in the budget” to give people raises and they for some reason still have the mindset of “nobody wants to work anymore”. On top of this, Management micromanages everyone with a system where you have to log everything you do (including breaks). Management is extremely passive when it comes to punishment (I explain what I mean later). Now they don’t do anything illegal (what a surprise, but also sad that I have to mention it) like some things I’ve read on here. My personal grievance: I’m a Logistics Coordinator and in my role, I’m essentially an over glorified shipping coordinator. I have to check in truck drivers who have to be the dumbest…
Hi. So I don’t even know where to begin with this. I work in a call centre at a dealership (well actually several dealerships, we cover open road so 25 in total.) which is already stressful enough. Lately, I have been working myself straight to burn out. The work environment is super toxic, they constantly change procedures, give us “coaching” lessons every month where some of our perks get taken away(extra pay/bonuses and working from home) and also get threatened and berated and bitched at if we don’t follow procedure and they threaten to discipline us. We get sometimes even yelled at for making tiny mistakes they say they don’t want “perfectionism” but that’s all they want. I feel like a robot working here. Anyways, thats besides the point. My boss is super two faced(they literally talk shit about everyone, sometimes we overhear them and they don’t think we can…
“Careers” Have Changed Forever
Stressed at work, should I quit?
I (23F), recently graduated, have Been At my 9-5 job for about 6-7 months now and recently have been feeling very overwhelmed. for context, I work in marketing and coordinate conferences and events for our company. We usually have around 2-3 conferences a month, going up to 10-15 in a month.when I first started, I was sort of thrown into the fire and had to figure out stuff on my own, I have learned the ropes of the job very quickly and as such I’ve been given more and more responsibility. recently, we had to coordinate for a massive conference and I have been on the grind trying to deliver everything within the deadlines. Because of this, some of the smaller items (but still very important) have slipped through the cracks and I have had a hard time managing them. This is also stressing me Out and makes me feel…
I mean idk, create a hashtag or something. The whole world hates Mondays, why don't we just agree that Monday is for chilling. Or for playing. Or for dating. Taking care of your children or whatever. Just not for consumption/working/career. Shut everything down, like lockdown mode. but you can go outside. This I-hate-Mondays virus is much worse than some stupid covid. This is our fucking world, we as a society get to decide how we live in it. Why do we still work 5 days a week like some workers who didn't have computers, automation and chainsaws. End this nonsense now.
I’m not sure if this belongs here but…..
So I have a coworker that's been ignoring me to the point it makes me feel uncomfortable. I've tried to confront him on this and all I got out of them was I “snitched him off to the boss”(one time weeks ago, he was late opening and I called the manager unsure of what to do). I've repeatedly asked my manager to schedule me different days when he's not working but he keeps scheduling me for weekends(which is when he works). I'm not sure what to do about this and I kinda need this job right now so I can't quit. Should I go over the managers head and contact HR? Or the owner? I don't know what to do and I feel trapped. Any advice is appreciated.
My company is doing everything in its power to steal wages from if you come in a minute late they don't pay you for half an hour but you still have to work from them trying to say that if you're not logged in while still punched in you don't get paid OSHA has sent me the direct line to the report this stuff but I have called them everyday for about 3 weeks and they refuse to call me back or pick up the phone who do I contact I've had an employee who's worked 40 hours this week get paid for only 28
