Bf’s Boss Disrespects Him, Bf Gets Last Laugh

I used to work with my BF and had the same boss while there (we were not dating at the time and I worked there under DB for 3 years) so I know that the story he's told is true. Alex works a rotating 12 hour shift, where this week he worked Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday – which is relevant. Last Wednesday, DB had sent Alex and their crew an email, telling them that DB is going to start cross training them on receiving product in because the receiving team is nonexistent there. Frustrated being punished for not wanting to work overtime

I work my 40-50 hours a week (M-F) construction. I get told I’m coming in for some weekend work, and if I say no I get put on the s*** jobs for the next week. I am a young guy who works to live, not live to work. If I want my weekends I don’t want punished. I’m comfortable and live within my means. Just ranting I guess.

Have to return keys after leaving a shitty job, what should I write in the return letter, as a “last farewell”?

I have to return the Keys for a shitty job I left, and I mean really shitty. Either way, I thought about going in at night, leaving the keys on the table with a nice letter saying something along the lines of “Farewell, hope to never see you again” What would you guys do ?

Boss is reclassifying me as a contractor for this current payroll but never gave me any notice until I already worked those hours.

Is this allowed? She only told me after I already worked several hours during this pay period. Additionally, is she misclassifying me if I receive direct instruction from her and still work on-site from time to time with her supervision? I’m frankly really angry about the lack of notice, so I wanted to get feedback from others and make sure I’m understanding my situation as best as I can. I’m fairly young so I don’t have much experience with this.
