So, I am a Software Quality Assurance Engineer with over 2 years of experience. I am looking for remote roles as I am living in Pakistan. Now, what companies do is they want to hire from developing countries to pay them very less amount. My salary expectations are anywhere between $1500 to $2500 but they want me to join in $1000. The reason they give is that $1000 is enough according to your region.

I applied to a job because i needed money, i was told 2-10 and 4-12, which was perfect. Monday through friday and some weekends which was no big deal, im working now 4-8 for 3 days a week which is not the hours i was promised. and i take a look at my scheduele now and im working 4 days in the next 2 weeks, what the actual fuck

Last year, I finally pulled myself out of my comfort zone and doubled down on becoming licensed for a better paying job. I got hired! Then, I had no training, my boss literally screams at me everyday about how I'm not doing my job the way she wants, ripped my hair out from grabbing my phone so she could finish a sale, (I walked out of the room for a sec then came back to her telling me if I have a mental problem that I shouldn't be here), consistently blames me for the company losing money, and pays me significantly less than the newer person. I have significantly more work than them bc she transferred me to a dept that I didn't sign up for, and she's never around- always taking days off. This has been for around 5 months. Here in Texas, the roads are bad and iced over. Texas doesn’t salt their roads like they should nor do we Texans spend money on snow tires to be used and this type of weather barely ever happens here and the company I work for isn’t allowing me to 1) work from home and 2) they aren’t giving us these days off since the building is closed ANYWAY. It’s been 3 days and will be 4 tomorrow that I could not work due to natural weather conditions and that’s a big chunk of my paycheck. When I asked this company if there’s any other options, I was told to either take the days off without pay or risk my life and come in everyday even tho no one will be there.
