Sitting here in pain all night debating on whether to call in for the day. I have several chronic health issues, but power through mild days to avoid conflict. Boss wants me to apply for fmla, which I am glad to have access to. The problem lies in the fact he brings it up every time I use a sick day. Dude Im salary and rarely use all my pto, only sick days because of chronic illness. And no he won't let me use pto for a sick day either I put off dr appointments and other self care to make sure I don't mess up the schedule. But I get a stomach flu and ” It puts everyone in a tight spot”. I'm sick and tired of working myself sick and tired only to be guilted for being a slightly disabled human. Capitalism sucks.

Every worker has to attend
So I have worked at an office for 2 years. I was supposed to leave last spring but was convinced to stay after I was told I would be advancing in my career and they would be promoting me within the next few months as i’d be working with them on other projects etc. meaning more money (my boss’ actual words). Little ol’ excited & naive me (even though im 25) thought this would be a great opportunity, so I stayed for a month, then two, then six, and now another year later, I am still getting the same pay I did the first day I worked there. No bonuses, no promotions, and to top it off, after talking to a few friends, I found out I earn WAY less than what someone in my field should be earning, as in im not even making the standard entry level salary…
Denied the raise in my offer letter.
Because I am not “meeting expectations.” I’m doing the work of two full time employees because we are understaffed for our caseload. Didn’t argue. Didn’t try to plead my case. If they don’t like my work ethic now they’re going to hate it even more while I build my own clientele during work hours to transition to working for myself. Fuck them. EDIT: I am too radicalized to take any job seriously. I am feral.

So I have worked at a financial institution ( not mentioning names) for nearly 2 years. Just had my review and got a raise of a whopping grand total of .60. I’m a teller and pretty much have ran the lobby many days by myself because we’ve been short staffed for a while… To make matters worse, I had to go on leave back in October for severe depression. At the time it caused my to be out of balance for a very high percent of that one month. Mind you, I went an entire year without any mistakes or being over/short (coins if anything). I recently left a remote nonprofit role where I was making $70k for a new remote nonprofit role making $80k with a 32 hour work week (yay!). In my old role, we didn’t have money for laptops so I used my personal computer from day one. My new gig offers the following options for a work laptop – either they provide up to $999 for me to purchase a work laptop that they will own and presumably I will return to them one day when I leave the role, or they reimburse me $750 and I use my personal laptop for work. Two caveats to the last option: 1) if I leave before 24 months of employment, I “may be required” to pay back a pro rated amount of that $750; 2) elsewhere in the employee handbook it says “devices owned or furnished by (org) may be accessed or monitored.”…
