The “small government” capitalists in congress is forcing teachers to out their queer students to their parents. I can not risk losing my job. This is after defunding public Ed in favor for private Ed. Iowa sucks! for So, as soon as I graduate from University of Northern Iowa, I’ll apply for a license elsewhere.

I physically cannot do my job anymore.
Need to quit this manual labor job and be my own boss. Are there organizations out there that help someone get a small business started ? I have clients just no start up money
Company after company made record profits in 2020 & 2021 while office workers worked remotely full time. There is a big push right now to return to office. And if workers don't demand flexibility, eventually full time office will be expected. Don't fall for it – productivity outpaced pay increases 3.7x from 1979 to 2021 & productivity took no hit during full time remote work. Fight for Hybrid & ultimately full time remote. If your company is insisting on 4 days in the office, fight for 2 and maybe you settle at 3. The biggest thing is to make sure full time office work is never normalized again.
To Go In or Not
I have a few minutes before I’m breaking company policy, so I thought I’d get opinions and ask what to say. So, it is only a couple degrees above 0 where I am and will not be getting above 20 degrees today. I work inside, but the heat is barely functioning. There are large exhaust fans that routinely blow outside air into the building due to welding smoke, therefore it was about 50 in there during the afternoon. I don’t want to go in today, I’m already cold, I’m a middle aged woman, like seriously, the guys were complaining yesterday, how do you think I feel? So I want to call off today, not the best choice of action, but I’m not 100% prepared for that kind of cold either. So what should I do? What should I say? Thanks!
