I work at a certain sandwich chain that boasts about how Fresh the food is. I'm also chronically ill and have tried to work with my manager multiple times, begging for time off to attend Dr's appointments that I need. I'm still called in to my job almost every day off I get, and even when I'm not there I'm expected to be 'on call' to help coworkers if they have questions about something. I desperately want to quit and get another job but I'm not very qualified for anything but hard labor… and as I mentioned, I'm chronically ill. I don't know what to do, any advice?

What to do about the new GM
So to get the basics out of the way: I currently work a fast food job, no big deal, but I'm a damn good employee. I cover whenever I can and always make sure to try and smooth over the rough edges of my coworkers when they'd otherwise be slipping a bit that shift. Or I was rather, I put in my notice shortly after our new General Manager started, before I had worked with him in fact, mostly because the pay wasn't worth staying without the old, very good, GM. I was amicable, I gave him 2 weeks and an extra five days so my last day wouldn't be in the middle of a schedule. The next day the schedule for what would have been that last week is published and I'm not on it. During my shift later that day I hear from an shift manager the new…
Hi. So i just resigned from my job without having a backup plan because i couldn't endure the pressure of a manager constantly harassing and bullying me since i was his replacement in the IT job he couldnt do. He didnt like the fact that he couldnt watch people on camera anymore and check the access logs. for 3 years, ive been attacked and i have reported it numerous times and followed the correct channels yet he got a promotion and i was then forced to work under him, soon as i heard, i quit. i will now be taking them to court for Constructive Dismissal. Moral of the Story, your work doesnt care about you, they want manipulative people on their team.
Am I wrong for stealing money from work?
So I work as a hostel receptionist. Im paid minimal wage and I basically stole 5€ from the cashier so i can buy myself sthmg to eat later (im very careful about my spendings so yeah 5€ is quite smthg to me). Im 21F, full time student and part time worker. I pay rent etc. Anyways there is a strike going on today so no public transport so i had to take a taxi to come to work. Im rly pissed cuz it cost me 20€. And my superiors said they arent sure they can refund me, they said they need to check. So im extra pissed. If i hadnt paid that 20€ then i wouldnt have felt the need to steal the money. I just dont wanna spend again on food today, thats why i stole the 5€. How wrong is this? Advice? I do feel rly bad ngl
Few things give me as much hope/satisfaction as seeing that people, even if they should be doing way more than protest and strike imo, still have the energie and motivation to take to the streets on this scale. I may be biased since I'm french, but felt like sharing this in case it can give others a bit of hope too. Idk. I'll be at one of those little purple dots anyway.
I got $6,000 out of them of unpaid wages. Even got legal cost which came to $6,000 for the lawyer as well lol. I do not understand why they didn't just settle. It was obvious i was going to win the moment I hired a lawyer, but they wanted to go to trial so here we are. I knew it was going to go in my favor when my lawyer called this “free money” for himself when they decided to go to court lol. I do feel slightly bad as I don't think my employer acted with malice towards me, they just suck at communicating and didn't hire a lawyer to write their contract and are a one woman operation. Meh, i don't care that much, I hated her anyway.
