Meanwhile in Teacher land…
I got fucking snitches tattle telling that my Planbook(teacher software) isn't up to date. Like seriously aren't our jobs hard enough, why you worried about what someone else's lesson plans look like?
It's literally not even about the low pay for me. You couldn't pay me $50/hr to keep this shit job. Every day before work I fantasize about quitting. I'm getting out of here as soon as I have any not food service job lined up. I hate the headset- the sound quality is terrible, especially when people are far af away from the speaker- and what makes that an extra pain in the ass is the fact that we have to HURRY HURRY HURRY with taking orders. I hate the fact that after about 12, customers do NOT stop coming not even for a second. There is not a single second where I'm not taking a goddamn order for 6 hours straight. I hate the fact that no one appreciates the fact that I'm taking on the duty that obviously everyone else here hates. I used to not really like…
All of these corporations laying off massive amounts of workers are not doing it because they are losing money. I’ve seen this over and over. They fire thousands, pay severance or whatever they offer, then re-hire the same jobs at a lower rate. They kick out those who have been there forever and are making a high wage in favor of those who will work for less. You can’t sue if you accept the severance agreement. Keep fighting for higher wages if you are starting a new job!
$15,000 per hour….
Old folk rant; advice-
So i was supposedly coming to this position as asst mgr. The boss back in august didnt “need one“ and i was dismissed. Didnt mean i was boots on the ground every day. Noted as supervisor and left be. Busting my ass stinky and etc. Now we have a computer thing to do by the 1/2st half of next month. Im on it. I dont feel doing it in timely manner will get me ahead. Im wondering do i submit the docs; password them? Or just submit them, wait for approval, password them then? As i am the author. I love my employer just want to cover my ass. Got a .75 cost of living raise which canceled my annual. Went from 18.50 to 19.25 contribute 15% to 401k. No degree. Advice. I am 55 yrs old
Just as the title says. For relevance I have been there since August and while we are not allowed to use it while we were in training that is officially over. I am in Virginia in the United States.
