Basically what the title says. Why did humans create an economy why we have to work? I’m just curious with the psychological and historical part of it but if you have any funny responses those are welcome too..

Back in June I fell at work and my arm went through a window severing my tendons, artery and nerves. I have had 2 surgeries so far and have to have 2 more. When I was at the hospital being prepped for my 2nd surgery, the owner of my company texts me and says he sold the company, my health insurance is cancelled, I no longer will receive my company provided apartment (I moved across the state for this job) and that my employment will not transfer over. My question is I have worked for the company for 7 years. Do they owe me severance?

Long story short I need a doctor's note to explain why I called off today. Chat me, and I can give you the information you need. The real reason I called off is because of depression but I don't want to get checked into a mental hospital, I just need a day off to recuperate.
