Why is it considered bad to ask about benefits in a job interview, namely WFH protocols?

It's like “bitch please, the primary reason I (and 90% of your other candidates) applied for the job is you advertising WFH options in the fucking description… You think it's bad form to ask for details on the #1 attraction? Too much to ask for some authentic discussion in the fucking interview I guess… thanks for being another clueless corporate asshat”

i put in my two weeks notice but i want a day off, i have to use pto? or is it optional?

idk how to write a good story so i’m sorry if i put in useless information. anyways a week before putting my two week notice in, i found out that i have 80 hrs of pto in my profile. i don’t wanna use pto because i’ve been wanting to quit for a while now. by the end of that week they reveal that they have to cut off people in my job due to budget cuts. so now i thought i’ve had enough with this place, i’d have to do the work of more people for the same $15 an hour. i put in my two weeks and i’m already through one week. i told my manager in advance that i was taking time off on friday. i said i would not like to use my pto. she approved of it over the phone and told me to have a…

Another Freakin’ One-Way Interview & Another Snappy Retort

got another request for a one-way video interview today. i’m very disappointed because i was really interested in this company. i feel we have a duty to ourselves and our fellow job-seekers to call these companies out on their BS and let them know exactly why we are not responding. so this was today’s response: “i really want to work for your company, but i don’t do one way video interviews. i’m sorry. i simply do not believe that a canned, amateur video production is a relevant way to evaluate candidates for a public-facing position requiring personality, engagement and empathy. why does the company feel the need to “see” candidates, without actually having to meet them? i can’t find anything positive in the possible answers that run through my mind. please feel free to pass my comments on”

My boss constantly writes emails that say “can we please” and I find it the most deprecating way of asking somebody to course correct. How can I at least try to give him feedback that will make understand this is not a good way to speak to/manage employees??

My new employers want a full medical history… RIP (just venting)

I work as a massage therapist and just accepted employment under a couple chiropractors. I love the profession as a concept, but that’s neither here nor there. I have my own chiropractor that I see as needed and I love her, but my new employers are requesting I just see them, not my current DC, for adjustments. They sent me a whole new patient form and want me to list all mental health issues, prior mental/emotional/physical trauma, what my personal birth was like, any sports injuries, any chronic or acute conditions, etc. and I think I’m going to lie. I don’t need my employer knowing I was born via c section and endured mental abuse to be able to adjust my wrists so I can massage without pain. I’m annoyed. How is this not a wild power imbalance for me to tell them all these personal, medical facts, then get…
