I used to cry often about my job as a teacher. I was completely exhausted and overwhelmed for years. I would take work home and stress over getting it all done. It kept me up at night. Then something magical happened where I legit just stopped caring. I’m not even sure what the breaking point was specifically. But I do not care about my job at all anymore. I only work during my contracted hours—I never take it home anymore. If I think about work when I’m not there I say to myself “I’m not getting paid for this time” and think about something else. When I’m at work I do the best I can and get accomplished whatever I can and take it day by day. In pointless faculty meetings I watch my coworkers get upset (just like I used to every time) and I feel like Neo looking…

My experience as a contractor.
Goodbye & F*** You! (Make this go viral)

I got a job as a Nurse in the Cosmetic industry thinking it was a score. Signed a contract allowing the employer to deduct fortnightly from my pay for 24months to cover training costs which are $12,000. I was in desperate need to get my foot into the cosmetic business and have a job (since I quit my other job prior to knowing about the training fees). Since signing and completing training a couple of months ago I’ve realised that this company is super dodgy. I believe they did not pay even close to 12k as products are given free to the company to use for training and the training is in house and not a real qualification. They call it an “Academy” but it is in reality just initial job training priced at a stupid 12k. Please help me with any advice on how to address this as I…

GigWage is a payroll processor that I get paid through for one of my side hustles. Starting in February, they're going to charge $2 per pay period where you earn money. The company I gig for is already paying them for their services. Why are they double dipping by charging me? Is this legal? How the f*** can someone charge you to get paid when you have no say in how you're being paid?
I work at an entertainment facility in arizona, usa. For the past 2 days our only bathroom at one of our two buildings has been out of order, but my boss still wants me to work a whole shift at this building. The stop in water service they say has something to do with some construction next door. I dont want to work a whole shift here if I can't use the bathroom, we have another building that the bathroom is working at but it's a walk and I'm here by myself. Is this illegal? Nobody knows when it's going to be fixed or is even for sure what is causing it. I've already had a customer ask to use the rest room and I had to send them to the bar across the street. Any perspective or opinions on this?
