If you could have the circumstances you wanted would you do what it takes? If you could quit your job you hate and tell your boss to f off would you. If you could improve your life and live more comfortably would you?

rant but also asking for advice tldr: my boss called all of us employees into a meeting today. she starts ranting because an employee just quit. then she basically tells us receptionists that we have too much down time and should clean/organize more. rant about employee quitting if you're curious: friday, i noticed something wrong with the booking site and notified my boss. she said she'd look into it but never did i guess. saturday, the mistake comes to light and customers are upset, she asks another employee to work later to cover for her mistake. the employee says no because she has an event and my boss gets angry and cusses. then the employee quits and now we get called into this meeting the next day. when i get there, she's complaining about the employee and the whole situation even though it's her own fault. then she starts saying…
I work for a City. I accepted a new position within the city that is essentially a created position. This position will be a Lead/Supervisor position. Initially it'll be just me in the spot, but eventually I will have the ability to hire and assistant and potentially a team. I was a manager at “the worlds largest retail chain” for years and I believe I was a good Supervisor. I always had the “train your replacement” mentality. Unless it had to do with OSHA or HIPPA, there wasn't anything that I knew that I wouldn't freely teach/train anyone under me. Always completely open, honest and transparent with anyone. Would make it a point to actually stop and talk with everyone throughout the day and be 100% available when needed. I have ambition. I would like to move up to Director of a department or higher eventually. So going in to…
I worked for a company in a position for 7 years and only made up to $13/per, i found a better paying job and left but 1 year later I came back and suddenly they want to hire me back at $19 per hour.
My job has been very interesting lately.
Just a little rant I guess. I work at a popcorn factory and have for 2 years now. It was great when I started, and then a lot of the good higher ups started quitting. Now we are running at a fraction of the people we had, they keep firing people for no good reason and not replacing them, and they still expect the same numbers. I have been talking with one of my coworkers about everything recently and she has a lot more inside information due to personally knowing a lot of people tied to the company. She dropped the beautiful knowledge on me the other day that our HR guy did not quit to go back to his old job because they made it better for him like they told us, but instead because the stuff he was being told to do to the employees was very illegal.…
This sums me up
Hey all, this is just a feeler to see what you guys think. I’m brainstorming creating a social experiment where money doesn’t exist. The parameters are as follows: A big piece of property Developed land Modern amenities (Wi-Fi included duh) Basically your modern day life just taking away the element of money. This is still in development, I’m trying to put the pieces together so it makes sense. In my mind, the goal would be to have tangible proof that money creates vast unfairness and inequality. If you guys have any pointers or additional ideas don’t hesitate to ask! Also if you think this idea is completely psycho don’t hesitate to say it! In my head this is to prove the goodness of people in a developed society where money isn’t a thing. But alas, I’m only one person so I know there are things that I’m not thinking of.…
They’re playing with my fucking money
Im gonna keep it short bc thinking about it sends me into a flying fucking rage. We were supposed to be paid on Friday the 13th, friday passes and my fucking money isn't here. It's sunday now. I sent an email asking about it and Im THIS close to pulling out illinois labor laws on their asses because MY FUCKING MONEY is being PLAYED WITH. If my wages aren't paid soon I'm infact, going to seek legal retribution because it's stressing me out and causing me emotional distress and financial hardship. I honestly just wanted to vent but Im literally just SO upset.
