Category: Antiwork
Me everyday at work since 2018.
I recently got a job at Mcdonalds, needed money to become more independent from my parents. I'm still attending school which is partly why I think this was a stupid decision. I'm now working Saturday and Sunday, 9 to 5, all the free time where I would use my money doesn't exist anymore. Maybe I'm being dramatic and I know its my fault for choosing to work there but it feels insane to me that this is a fully legal thing that most adults encourage kids to do. I would quit but having my only work experience last a month would destroy any opportunities to have realistically get a job in the future. I know its a dumb rant but jesus I fucking hate that this is what life will be and when I get older it will be exclusively working.

I called the company that handles it and they said I was not able to accrue any new charges as I was no longer employed with the company. Which caught me off guard as when I signed up I knew it was use it or lose it by the end of the year and thought I had six more weeks to use the remaining $1200. The representative told me to contact my…
