Massage Therapist, paid per massage
I'll try to be brief, but I needed to vent. 10years MT experience. Working for chiropractor, and I am PAID PER CLIENT I see. I also work at one of the chain spas on days not working at the chiropractor. I'm am popular, always booked, and love what I do. Started working for chiro 2.5 months ago. I was told washer and dryer would be on site for laundry when I was hired, as of today since none in sight. I have been doing all the laundry service myself at my own experience. I was told last week a mandatory dinner meeting is required by all office staff, which happens to land on a day chiro is closed (convenient for them) and I'm working at the chain spa. Ok, so I removed my 2 clients at the spa, which means I forfeit $100 to have the time to go to…
He said people where he grew up were too busy working to get by to worry about depression. I'm sure he had it rough growing up. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised he made this idiotic statement, considering he's benefited greatly from this corrupt capitalist system. She then showed me her sticky note with names of people she must had to pull up/talk to. And she pointed to my name and how she wrote idiot next to my name. I didn't know what to say I'm shy and I always just laugh things off. And I previously use to do it even when people talk to me like shit at my old job.

After being given the run around on why they won't buy it and that my current chair is plenty sufficient, I offer to buy it myself to bring in and use. I was then told it could be a liability to the company if I somehow injure myself while using this chair. I offer to sign a waiver saying I accept all liability. After some more push back on my end it is revealed to me that “the powers that be” don't allow people to bring in chairs not offered by the company because it would clash with their office aesthetic… Wtf
