This happened years ago when I was managing at a Wendy’s franchise. This franchise owned 4 locations. I started working at one that was about 25-30 minutes from my place and worked there for for over a year, 9-10 months of which fell under the same calendar year. Later I was transferred to a location about an hour from my place and given a slight raise that they made sure I understood was to compensate for travel. The original store I was at was the only store that made bonus’ that year. I was not given the bonus but other managers who worked there during that year were given prorated bonus’ for the amount of time they worked at that store. Job wants me to start working outside but I’m not going to do it because it gets so hot outside half the time

Pretty much title. HR sent over a notice that I had to complete the form, which will release the company from any legal liabilities that may arise from disclosure of information about me when a potential company reaches out to the company. My questions: Do I have to sign this? Is there any benefit to me signing this? How would I go about refusing to sign this if I don’t have to? I live and work in California for what it’s worth. This is my first job and I’m a bit new and naive, so thanks in advance!

They almost got me with the “We actually help people getting back on their track” bs, but when the guy said “sometimes we have to convince people to borrow money from relatives because it’s better to own 8k to your cousin than 10k to the bank” I wanted to run. I don’t even disagree but fork banks, I won’t ever be happy making a living on people’s misery. I’m good with people and passionate about designing customer experience, and I was a very decent sales person but I won’t ever use it with people in vulnerable positions. I’m a Junior in High School and we just covered the New Deal in History. We had a small debate afterwards and a lot of kids are against raising the minimum wage too much because they think it will cause more inflation. I’m a lurker here and wanted to get help finding sources since I tend to talk to some of these people a lot about issues like these and google didn’t come up with stuff I find fully trustworthy. I’m also in an extremely red state, so it doesn’t help me out that I’m one of like 10 kids in my school with opinions like mine.

I’ve been working at my store Since April last year, originally as a summer worker But I got to stay there as a part time shift worker. Which was all Good and dandy until my new boss was put in place back in November. Things seemed to be fine at first and I got to work a Good bit! The customers like me and I believe my coworkers do too. But now Since the new year started I have only gotten to work ONCE on new years day.
