The reason for this email is to make sure we all know the expectations in regards to schedules/time off/etc With our service levels being super busy we have been able to see some trends in regards to logging in/out, breaks/lunches/ leave early etc Please make sure you are using the correct login/logout system and not adjusting your times afterwards in workday Our schedules are designed to ensure we are available to help our customers when we expect them to call in, therefore it is crucial that you are logging in at the time you are scheduled and logging out at the end of your shift. Hi guys, I’ve got severe work place anxiety as a result of previous jobs. My last job made me redundant and I had a terrible manager. I’ve received an offer letter today and sadly I’m nervous and upset. Overthinking everything instead of actually being excited. I always seek reassurance from loved ones and have to double check everything I do because I’m so scared of making wrong decisions. I’ve been seeing a therapist the last few months and had to take clonzepam for interviews as I’m scared to have a panic attack. Now I’m worried that I’ll be a mess in a workplace environment. Anyone else in a similar boat? What has worked for them. Thank you
Up until last week, I worked in a lab and while things were slow, I expected to work there for at least another sixth months. I go home after my shift and the next morning wake up to a call saying I’ve been laid off and yesterday was my last day. I was a contracted worker so this is totally legal of them to do to me but it sucked because my supervisors and I were on good terms and they could have chosen to give me a notice or at least told me in person?? On top of that, I had just gotten back from a 2 week vacation so I’ve been out of pay for a while already. Anyways, the job hunt has begun and I’ve filed for unemployment. Just wanted to rant lol
We live in Minnesota and I’m wondering if it’s legal. My husbands work has a new hybrid schedule policy where employees can work 2 days a week from home. The problem is if you need to take a 3rd day off because you’re starting to get sick and don’t want to spread it, but feel well enough to work from home you have to take PTO. Essentially if you need to work from home for any reason a 3rd day, it’s PTO. Kind of crappy but probably not illegal? It just sucks in combo with them recently moving him to another office location adding 20 min to his commute.
Last week was my 1st week at a new job. Very well paying factory job. Thursday, they had me lifting 60-80 pounds over and over. I told them my arms were going to jello and I wasn't sure how much longer I could keep it up. Long story short, my arms shot out on me and I dropped 77 pounds on the top of my foot. Bruised it pretty bad but that's it. The next day, I call the safety manager and I am told to rest it until Monday and we'd go from there. I come to work last night and I can tell the higher ups are acting differently towards me. I even text my friend and tell him about it. Well this morning, I get a call that I've been terminated for no call no show. They told me that the safety manager told them I was…
