I just make so much money and I hate it but I refuse to donate towards anyone less fortunate than me (I would hate for someone to leave poverty even temporarily). I kinda just wanted to come here to brag really, I hope you don’t mind! So, My job pays me 175k a year for me to do nothing. It’s so hard for me. I’m in aeronautics btw. Yes my parents paid my way through college and are still paying my rent to this day but I’m with you anti workers!! That’s all I have to say. no real issues and I sleep very soundly after reading threads of people barely making it by while I sit comfortably, because I’m really in solidarity with you guys!

The professional way to say..
Having a meeting this week with my boss. What’s the professional way to say, I’m just an hourly employee and managing (this other person) is not my job. ? Or simply, I’m not being paid to do XYZ.
Look ma im a big boy now
At my job, my manager recently had a couple employees quit within a few weeks of each other. Since then, she’s lamented the fact that she’s having a hard time finding any job applicants who are in the area and willing to commute. However, she’s been finding a lot of remote applicants. This is a sentiment I’ve heard from other supervisors and executives out there as well. My manager also laments that the office has become a ghost town due to downsizing and other departments working from home full time. Gee, I dunno guys. Maybe it’s just that the pandemic lockdown exposed how pointless it is to come into an office every day when they have the tools to work at home full time more productively? Never mind when winter comes around and people are getting each other sick in the office all the time. Look, I get that not…
They made me come in just to fire me
After working at a beauty counter for over eight months they decided to terminate my contract immediately. Management mentioned how I wasn't making enough money for the counter and was way off my personal sales targets, as well as being guilty of taking time off due to illness and death in the family. My area manager had to bring up the fact that I barely made 50% of my sales target recently and asked why despite knowing two of my family members passed away in that month alone, that's when I broke down crying. I genuinely don't understand what they were expecting me to do, pull money out of my ass? Selling overpriced beauty products for £70+ isn't easy in this economy, not to mention I was always out of stock of very popular items and lost hundreds of pounds of profit a day but when I mentioned it they…
inflation hitting hard
Just got my raise for my annual review, boss tells me that im doing a great job and that I'm one of the best poeple in my position. Unfortunatly the raise i was given was less than the inflation rate this year. Meaning that im getting paid less than last year. I confronted bossman with the fact that im not getting paid enough and he got mad and straight up said “if you dont think thats good enough than leave.” So anti-work got any suggestions?
