The FTC wants to ban non-compete clauses

Like, where are they? And do they pay more than 10 dollars an hour? It's like it's only good news for bankers. I hate this timeline.

Quarterly Performance Reviews?
Starting in 2023 we were notified we were moving from annual to quarterly performance reviews. Any “corrective” measures were to be handled at the quarterly reviews but any “raises” or promotions would be on a yearly or every other year basis. Why don’t they just say they’re asking us to quit or looking for excuses to terminate people? But yet they wonder why they can’t hire people.
Annual leave deadlines/expiration (UK)
Just wondering if an employer (UK) is allowed to dictate when holiday carryover (carried from 2022 into 2023) must be taken? They have said: Following your approved holiday carryover days for 2023, please note that these carryover days must be taken by the end of Q1 (Friday 31st March 2023). This is to ensure that you are getting maximum use out of your 2023 Annual Leave Entitlement.
