New job/Company switching up

Was told over the phone Id have a set schedule and my availability works with them. I come in person a week later and am told the opposite. Need to prepare a straightforward yet polite reaction, they pay very good and work itself is what I was looking for but A good reason I came to them was for a set schedule considering im also a student and not many jobs seem to consider that :/

Been working for a company for 3 years now, they have expected 12.5 hour days plus 2 hour’s travel daily only paid one way Monday and Friday. But they do not pay double time after 12.

Recently I have been advised to stop working the 1/2 hour daily. It’s not legal to not pay double time after 12 is it? I never agreed to this nor are the hours banked. They also pay individuals different wages based on how close of a friend you are to his son but claim it’s productivity based. We all get the same amount of work done.

quick question: I’m a firm believer in wage sharing but i always keep it discreet. i’m aware of the national labor relations act but recently one of my coworkers told me to be careful because discussing wages has been a fireable offense at her previous jobs. is it?
