If my company just pulled us into a center location and said we are now on a point system and REFUSED multiple times when asked to tell how many points and how it worked and they refused to explain stating that not to worry, if we were a min late it's a point etc.

Some of you may or may not remember my post in this sub about me working a call center job back in 2022 that was gearing up to fire me most likely due to over hiring. Well, I quit, was in limbo for three ish months, then landed my current job. I’m a senior social media manager for about ~40 clients. My job consists of me posting graphics and captions made by the graphic design department and optimizing pages from time to time. That’s it. Out of the 8 hr workday, my work totals about 2 hrs. We post using a hosting site that pushes out the posts to the different social media platforms, so I’m able to work from my phone or laptop, which means I have freedom to go out and about during the day. denying sick days with a doctor’s note
For context, I work at a daycare in California. Our director has decided that she's not going to let us take days off if we don't have any approved sick days, even if we do have a doctor's note. Is this legal?? I've never heard of this happening before.

Hi sorry, I'm hoping this is the appropriate sub. I'm frustrated. To summarize, I work in sales. Had the big boss call me over to join in on a video call pitch to observe which I did, at the end of it I was asked my opinion on how it went and I mentioned that he did not close the sale which is what I had assumed the purpose of the call would be. He didn't like that I pointed that out and became irate, then he told me in a nutshell that I don't know what I am talking about, proceeded to put his hand on my shoulder and started raising his voice.
