The wealthy know exactly what a gallon of milk costs and want rent costs for the average person. So why on earth do they not pay a livable wage? There was no accident when the hourly wage they pay is $14 an hour and expect an Adult to work there.

This is my first time posting here but I wanted to share this somewhere after keeping this in me for a while. I was fired on 11-14-2022 while riding the bus home afterwork. The payroll manager and “head director” contacted me, they just randomly said “we are calling you because it’s in regards to your termination, we want you to know that we must terminate you.” I asked them, “how come and what’s the problem?”, they respond “oh, after we evaluated everything that occurred, we decided we don’t want you in the company anymore, alright thanks goodbye!”. A while ago I tried to apply for a new job or apprenticeship, to get away from my current job with awful work hours. Ended up finding a few interesting positions on a job search website. Had to make an account for that job search site to even get to the application form, and within 2 days got 10 ad E-Mails from said site despite having declined the newsletter. Then had to turn my written application into a PDF so it would upload. Then had to re-type my entire application in a web form. But despite having input everything correctly, the button to send it off did not unlock.. on not a single application that I tried. So I thought “maybe I should do it directly to the company I'm applying on” and visited the website to get an email adress (because the search site refused to display contact info).…
