Feeling trapped!
I work in small government in a cubicle in an office…working basically an IT job but not in the IT dept. Long story short everyone hates me when I tell them they need to fix something in how they process their work. People get even angrier when I tell them /I/ need to fix something to make their work easier. (I'm 25 and most people working under me are around 50-60 years of age and think I'm trying to make their life hard.) Have you guys seen the movie office space? It's sad how much my life resembles that even without the angry coworkers. My boss hawks me all the time. Can’t use pto without 2 weeks notice
That’s the norm. I just think its bullshit. My bf and I decided to get tickets to a music fest for tonight. We decided on it last night. He told me to lie and say there’s some emergency so I can get out early… traffic gets insane in the parking lot and the earlier the better. I should’ve listened. I told the truth and asked if I could use my PTO to leave 2 hours early. I was basically told I can’t. That I need a two weeks notice, or it has to be an emergency.

Is something like this been ever proposed ? Not everyone should make the same but a 10 Mil per year cap for example should be Fair. The rest you are forced to reinvest in whatever you have got going on or else pay up on taxes. Funds and stocks only up to 10 Mil. Thoughts ?
When I re entered the workforce in 2020, after my first year at the company during our Christmas party, I received a bonus check that was a large amount of money.
