My housemate has Covid. They didn't know until late last night, so accidentally exposed everyone in the house. That's not their fault, it's all cool. I go out last night and buy and take a Covid test. It's negative, but the last time I had Covid, my at home test read negative until I was super fucked up and it was obvious anyway. So I don't exactly trust it. So like, I told my boss that I was exposed to Covid and wanted to know what the policies are. He basically said, “yeah cool, come in and get tested after work. Just sanitize your desk.” My supervisor, who sits like 3 feet away, has a child in the hospital. If she gets it, her kid could die. I bring that up and he says “yeah, but are you symptomatic right now?” I worked it out that I'll go buy a…

Dr’s note?
I'm really not sure where to post this, I just started a new job and got sick while at work so I've been out for a few days and they require a Dr's note. I really can't afford to go to the doctor and have no transportation to get there anyway but I really need this job right now and I was wondering if anyone would be willing to whip up a fake Dr's note for me? I have no photoshop experience or a computer even of course am willing to compensate. If this is against the rules could someone point me in the direction of a sub that might be able to help?

need motivation to call in sick
want to call in sick as i was feeling pretty shitty at the end of my shift possibly covid but its a bit of a flemmy cough. im not dieing but id rather rest at home and try to feel better before krimbo. struggling to actually call in though as i do shift work and i know itd make life difficult for my coworkers and flu isn't really seen as a good enough reason , half the staff in today were ill so i suspect i caught it from work the day before

Question: is this appropriate?
Went on a work trip with 2 other people. We talked about the agenda. We did not talk about time for returning the next day. I assumed (first mistake) that we would drive the 2 hours back. My colleague says well. “There are no appointments on my calendar so we don’t have to be back till 2 pm.” Totally rubbed me the wrong way. Why would my appointments be on his calendar? Why wouldn’t he be respectful of others and ask ??

I am a security officer, at least that's what I thought I was. I'm actually a receptionist. I sit in an access control booth, let truckers onto the site, ask for their bills and IDs, log them in and direct them where to go. No exception to the ID policy. Except for this list of companies. Also, just let these guys through. Oh, and don't let them onto the site until you get that info. But, it's been two days, so never mind. Let them back on. The guy was non-compliant and arguing? Try to be non-confrontational because he told us a different story than what you told us. I'm losing my mind.
