Just a funny instance. I was talking to my in-laws, because 'tis the season. My FIL is a strip-mall owner and leader of a small local congregation. A common quote in this church is “Are you honest in your dealings with your fellow men?” In just some aside chat, some of the teenagers hanging around the house said they had money from shoveling the roof of the strip mall. Some of these businesses are owned by in-laws, but none of the teens are their kids or anything; they're all from church. They were paid $10/hour (same thing I was paid 20 years ago). They had to work at past 10pm, due to the businesses being open until then, in the dead of winter with 50-year record snowfalls and sub-zero temps. Their tools were shovels, sleds, and a truck, and the mall includes 15 businesses, so it is a sizable 1.5…

Century link training
Paid training Random question but a friend of mine just completed his training at century link/lumen (USA right to work state) with me and now they got a better job offer a week later (3 weeks total). They are jumping and telling me to join as well, however I have heard some companies charge you for training if you leave early and warned him. I am currently waiting to hear back from HR regarding paperwork that was signed but figured I’d ask here as well. Does anybody have any experience in this? Thanks I’m advance. (Cross post from the CenturyLink Reddit for now to get a broader reach)
So, early this year i got my first job as an intern in a communication consulting firm. It´s been 6 months and I really like the work and my coworkers. They are quite nice and we have a good time together. Unfortunately, I can´t say the same about my coordinator. Since the first day she has treated me with an arrogant demeanor. She says I´m a child – I´m 24 – and doesn´t listen to what I have to say. The reason is always on her side. 4 months in, she told me, giggling, that if it was her choice, I wouldn´t have gotten the job. Likewise, she talks to me in a superior way, as if I know nothing and even rolls her eyes when I enter her room to ask a question on work. This really gets me sad, but there is another thing that really – really…

Respect your workers! So on point.
In august my pay was dropped by 20% no notice no change of contract no paper trail except my paystubs. Currently my paycheck can’t be deposited due to know funds in employers account. Everyone in the company hasn’t been paid for 3 days now. And the ceo says the money is coming in 2-4 days
I like my actual job and I really liked my previous manager, but recently a new manager came and I don’t feel as comfortable anymore and everyday I want to just quit and go someplace else. Would it be too unprofessional of me to do so or is it a valid reason? Sorry for my bad english.
