Requested my boss for a day off a week and 4 days in advance. My text was left on read, and when the schedule was made/posted with me on the day I requested off I was told to contact HR if I have an issue. Contacted 2 HR people and they left me both on read. For context I put in my 2 weeks notice before the request so I wonder if they are just being weird since all the other times I was accommodated. I still intend to call off that day since its actually a serious family matter, but given the circumstances I wonder how would yall react or call off on said day?

How to annoy my manager in my 1:1
I have a 1:1 with my manager tomorrow in a job that I'm so f*ing over and ready to quit. If I got fired tomorrow, I'd run out the proverbial front door, waving my severance, declaring myself finally free. What are small things that I can do to really annoy the hell out of her? She's one of those hard ass middle management types… lives for the job, sucks management's dick, calls you on Christmas Eve asking for updates on things that could absolutely wait until the new year. Total toxic kind. I'm planning on saying “I'm sorry, can you repeat that?” a bunch of times, as if the speakers on my brand new MacBook Pro are somehow not functioning properly. She *hates* when she has to repeat herself and waste that precious 1:1 time. Any other ideas? Nothing that could get me fired, per se… just generally annoying stuff…
I was a store manager for Luxottica (US) but after 2 bouts of covid had to go on medical leave. I'm still fighting long covid and other disability and was unable to return. I filed for an extention but was told I had used up all of my allotted time, and since I didn't (couldnt) return yet was told that it was considered a Voluntary Resignation. Is this going to mess me up for applying for unemployment because they listed it as resignation? Or is it still legally being fired?

Stop devaluing your time!
I was thinking about this the other night while stuck in traffic. The reason why companies can get over on us, is because of how much we devalue our time. Just think about this, last month was Black Friday. How many people gave up spending time with their families on Thanksgiving night, to go sit in front of a Target/Walmart/Bestbuy…..FOR 12-15 HOURS, Overnight, in the bitter cold, on a fold-able chair…..just so they could save a few hundred bucks on a TV or some $5 Blu-ray movies? Stop devaluing your time!
Work until you physically can’t anymore!
The title is a bit ironic because I'm going to ask you to watch any one of Steven Greer's movies (“Sirius”, “Contact: CE5”, “Unacknowledged”). In these documentaries they present evidence to prove Free Energy exists, and has been discovered by multiple people throughout recent history, but it is being suppressed by war-mongering, greedy, sociopaths who want to keep the human population ignorant, stupid, and enslaved by our constant need for fossil fuels. Don't work for shitty employers, don't work for the continual perpetuation of a system that needs revolution. Work for the destruction of these oppressors (not talking about your employer specifically, but the “elite”) and the recreation of a better society and civilization. Connect with people in your area. Connect with people online. Make sure this is known. Support and spread an awareness of the lies we're being fed. Be aware and highly critical of what you hear or…
