Okay, so yeah, I started a new program at work. I'm a supervisor. We met our teams and my childhood bully was a member of the team. Whether she is on my team remains to be seen, but we are going to be in the same building 5 days a week.
To compound issues even further, after childhood, I dated an awful guy. As it turned out, he was having an affair with the bullies grandmother. He got arrested after I had to call the police on him. While he was in jail, the grandmother was following me around town and telling them where I was going and wearing and such. He would call from jail and give me a recap of my day. Mind you, I was pregnant at the time.
I had a restraining order against him for 2 years. We have a child together, but he's a deadbeat. I try to stay as far away from him as possible. Now this. Now he's going to know where I work and so will she and her grandmother.
I just started this job. I really like it. What do I do now? The people in my life are acting like it's no big deal, but it is to me. I don't want to be bothered, harassed, stalked or have my safety and peace of mind threatened.
Is this worth going to HR about or should I just find another job and resign?
