last week, my mom took me out to lunch. on the way back, she got in a fender bender. i texted my work to let them know i was staying with my mom and wouldn’t be returning. fast forward to today, boss pulls me into a conference room, tells me she needs the insurance claim info as proof there was an accident, because “someone” allegedly saw me out around town with my husband. that just… did not happen. he was there because we only have one car and i needed to get picked up, but i find it really odd someone would make that up, and disrespectful that my boss would take their word with no proof at all.
