WHY DO EMPLOYERS DO SHIT LIKE THIS???!!
just a little bit of background. I've been an agency recruiter for 6 years. For at least the last two we have been telling our boss (the owner) that covid-19 really changed the employee/candidate landscape. Basically begged for support, and raises. Fast forward to now….. with zero support, I'm burnt out on the daily grind of trying to hire, and source candidates. I finally got serious about finding a new job, and I went on two interviews and got two job offers. I accepted one, and turned in my notice.
By the time I came to work the next day. My coworkers had received a raise, and stupid amount of support in regards to helping figure out how to get more candidate traffic.
One coworker got a $10 per hour raise!!!!
I just don't understand why company owners do shit like that. To make it worse… they didn't even try to keep me. Which really just tells me I've made the right choice!
Sorry for the rambling….I just don't get it!
