Not me, but my girlfriend. She's been in an apprenticeship program for the last years years. It ends in two weeks and they just this week came back to her with a pay that was a bit more than she or I expected. It's nearly double what she made throughout the apprenticeship. There was just one phrase tacked to the end that trouble me. Her boss said they had to pass the offer to HR who would approve the pay, but because it's such a large hike from what she makes there now they may do it in increments. I thought this was BS. Essentially because she's been with the company for two years they expect her to work well below market price and what a new hire would be making. It's not a sure thing they'd do this yet, but what can she say if they do?
