Companies that reward bootlicking discourage honest feedback, and honest feedback is how companies improve.

A culture of promoting “yes people” and ass kissers is why there is so much dysfunction in large companies. Everyone who agrees with doubling down on the problem and who professes how happy they are with management's choices is rewarded with promotion. Anyone who disagrees is labeled a problem. Management keeps doing what it is doing, even if it's a really ineffective, or even destructive way of doing things. I just needed to vent somewhere that wouldn't get me on the problematic employee list too soon.
