We don't offer sick time over the last few months we have been spreading a violent illness. I finally got it and Holy hell if I had the time id take more time off. I only had enough time to cover 5 hrs meaning I spread it to everyone in the 3 hrs I was there. No one can stay healthy I even kept my distance and said I can't come into the meeting but still I touched the time clock and other tools. We had operators on all 3 shifts call out because they all gave it to each other meaning we have to do overtime all because we can't stay home when we are sick. You'd think we would have learned from covid as soon as someone gets healthy two more get sick this is ridiculous you'd think management would just give someone 8 hrs paid if it meant possibly 6 other people were going to call in. I am feeling much better but still ill I will have to go in tonight but I'm making them manually clock me in and skipping my meeting I can cut down on person to person contact that way but still I feel guilty even subjecting others to this I've never been this sick in my life and possibly infecting coworkers with health problems and their families because I don't have enough pto and sick days and I don't want to get pointed makes me feel like the dude in the zombie apocalypse who didn't tell people he got bit.
