Company installed motion sensors in all public office WCs that only trigger from the main WC hall

I am very new in this company, which is an MNE not a small local business. All seemed fine until senior management (I assume) decided to install motion sensors for the lights of all publicly available WCs a few days ago. The sensors have an automatic timer which turns the lights off exactly 3 minutes after being triggered. The ridiculous part is they only trigger from the main bathroom hall and NOT from inside the stalls. Personally, I have IBS-C which means I have to use the bathroom for more than 10-15 minutes on a daily basis, sometimes even more than once. This means I have to do my business in the dark like a caveman or use my phone’s flashlight as if I am free camping in the woods.

I have reported this to HR and they claimed they didn’t know the sensors were only activated from the main hall and not from within the stalls. I was also told that it’s company policy to reduce electricity consumption due to the energy crisis.

PS: I am not US based. Also don’t tell me to just leave, I just started working here after several months of job hunting and the benefits are quite good given current market conditions in my country. How do I approach this?
