I'm not even surprised by this, cus similar things have happened before, but it's still just infuriating and nauseating, and I don't know what other sub to post this in.
Our company recently had a round of layoffs. A good 10 or so people got axed. They held an emergency company meeting to express how sorry they were and what an “agonizing” decision it was, but it couldn't be helped, the company is in a tough position and the economy is bad, etc et-fucking-cetera
Then, today–I know because I see payroll reports–they put through $255k worth of bonuses, mostly for upper management, who already make huge amounts of money and often leave the office well before everyone else.
And some of these managers started here only like 8 months ago, and have fired people that were here for 7+ years, and will surely be hiring replacements for way lower pay, and guess what, the difference “saved” on payroll there… will end up basically just covering the bonus amount for that fucking manager.
Fuck these people. Really. Just fuck them.
Fuck them straight through the skull till they bleed the fuck out.
And then give their corpses an oversized bonus for good measure.
