Company messed up my paycheck, makes me wait to get my money

I work for a very large construction company. I get paid once every 2 weeks as I am considered non-craft (read: office without the salary) personnel. This previous pay period, I received wages for 50 of the 100 hours I worked over the previous pay period. I am made to jump through hoops to prove I did indeed work those hours, even though I submitted my time each Saturday per company policy. I finally receive a reply email from payroll today, stating I will receive my wages during the next pay period (8 days from now, 2 weeks from original pay day). They have zero concern over the bills that I have due, or rectifying the situation that payroll admitted they messed up. Any advice or just a quick insult to the company to make me feel better? Nothing much I can do I suppose, just hope my landlord understands.
