So, I've been looking for full-time sales roles for months now, rounds of interviews, no-responses, I've experienced it all.
This one was a first for me though…
I attend an interview for a ''retail assistant'', it's a step down from what I was looking for but I was getting desperate. I attend an interview after they see how much experience I have and the person interviewing asks me how much I expect to earn. I deflect in a professional manner, and put it back on her, to tell me what they can offer……….she doesn't know, she's the marketing person. Ok, so nothing comes of the first interview but she offers me a second one with the person in charge, who can give me more information.
The second interview is in 2 days and I've received and email asking me to prepare a ''short presentation about what the working week at *comapny name* looks like, please detail your daily tasks and how you will acheieve them''. WHAT?!
I have no idea how the company runs or what specific daily tasks are expected of me, it wasn't even mentioned in the job posting.
Job hunting is exhausting.
