Constant schedule change. Unpredictable manager

I’m just a month into this job. There’s nothing special about it and it only pays $15 an hour. I sit by myself for 12 hour shifts in an office alone just to transfer people or page people. Like today I’ve barely done any work and there’s a tv in here so I’ve been watching tv all day with the occasional phone call. The manager definitely has some sort of stick up her @ss with unpredictable moods. Luckily I don’t have to work with her too often (occasionally there will be 2 of us working at the same time). During the interview and upon hiring I was assigned to a set schedule of 36 hours per week at times that I agreed to. Now I’m working 48 hours doing 12 hour shifts 4 days in a row and it’s super depressing and isolating being in this office Friday, Saturday, Sunday…

During the interview and upon hiring I was assigned to a set schedule of 36 hours per week at times that I agreed to. Now I’m working 48 hours doing 12 hour shifts 4 days in a row and it’s super depressing and isolating being in this office Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 7am-7pm.

The reason this schedule got pushed on me is because the manager fired this girl who’s only been working here for 3 months because she kept contacting the manager by text message asking questions. The girl clapped back at the manager and was like well you’re the manager and who else am I supposed to ask. But this girl was a bit excessive with her text questions to the manager. Still, no excuse to get fired for asking questions.

Anyways, that girls schedule has now been pushed on me and I’m not happy about it at all. I can already tell this office has had a revolving door of employees and I’m certain it has to do with the manager being all moody.

I’m already certain that if I bring this up, she’ll just tell me to quit then or find some reason to fire me. Which I don’t really care because $15 an hour is easy to come by. I just don’t feel like interviewing again for some other crap.

Overall it’s easy and not much to it, I just hate being in here for so long with @sshole people calling. It’s depressing!!

I got laid off last month from my previous job, and I’m wondering if it’s too late to just start collecting unemployment for a while if I suddenly just quit this job. I’m in Florida btw.

I just don’t know what to do. If I had my 36 hours and no more, then I wouldn’t mind. But 48 is overboard. Maybe I should just endure it for a while. Just basically sit here all day and wait for something to happen. Sometimes it happens other times I’m just watching tv.
