Contracting company telling us we will be terminated from our company if we don’t join them.

So the hospital I'm working for has recently been transistioning all new hires to a contracting company instead of a direct hire. Some newer workers, < 5 years, have gotten offers to join them. Older workers like myself have not gotten offers. We have asked our HR department and they seem to be oblivious that this company even exists. We have asked as a group to meet with the COO, but they refuse to meet us as a group.

We asked our lead, but there is a conflict of interest because they are employed by the contracting company.

There seems to be no transparency, and we are all worried that we will be terminated even though we are willing to hear the offers. However, no one has gotten anything in writing.

Can our hospital force us to sign with this contracting company? Something we also noticed is that the newer employees roles and responsibilities have changed since signing with the contracting company.
